Uhhh, hmm. Made me double check myself to see if I had spelled my own username wrong! Thanks for the welcome! Yes, the same idea seems to go for food too..
Me: "No, I'm not hungry"
Him: "Are you sure? I'll just order my stuff then"
Me: "Can I have a bite?"
Him: "I thought you weren't hungry?!"
And then it ends up him surrendering a burger haha.

I'm new to CC - plastic is in the mail and on the way. I'm a 38 y/o and just had my eyes open to carrying as a possibility. Three daughters 10, 7, and 2.

I'm not quite sure yet how I'll regularly carry but my current plan is:

XDM 45 in the nightstand (love that gun)
Kahr PM45 IWB when I can
Ruger LCR or Seecamp 32 in the pocket depending on clothes

I would imagine I'll predominantly pocket carry but never say never.

Love the forum.

Hello everyone...

My name is D'marcus

I'm 38 and I live in Arlington by way of Las Vegas, NV. Moved here last summer looking for a better chance at landing a LEO job. its been a slow process but I'm sure it will happen sometime soon.

Just recieved my card yesterday... Right now I carry a Ruger P85 for work, and I just purchased the Taurus 738 TCP to carry concealed although I do have a tuckable IWB for my Ruger that lets me carry it concealed with comfort.

I have been enjoying searching this forum and have found a lot of great information...

Hi everyone, I'm Allan. I'm 21 turning 22 tomorrow. So I've had my CHL for almost a year. I'm going to school right now so i can't carry most of the time. Right now the only handgun i have is a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm. I like it a lot. I've shot over 600 rounds through it with no misfires or jams. Only downside with it is that it's really thick. Kinda hard to conceal sometimes. Other than that though, it's great.

Welcome, Allan. I love the matter-of-fact tone of this quote - the way it should be. :thumbs2:

Turn 21 - apply for CHL, then have first legal beer while waiting

Happy birthday! :cheers2:
The PX4 interests me due to the rotating barrel. Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

hello all! I found this forum yesterday googling: chl laws texas. I must say, there is a lot of great information and wisdom from the members!

a little about myself:

23 m
US NAVY
single
zero years CHL.. I'm actually waiting for DPS to update my status :totap:
i'm from commiefornia, florida resident, stationed in texas.
planning on buying a KELTEC PF-9 soon so I can become proficient with her before I get my plastic.
as for what pistols I have now: sig p226 navy 9mm and metro arms american classic ii 45acp.
I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Glad I found this forum! "Pops"...not particularly creative, but that's what I'm called by my "kids"! Really appreciate the info provided by y'all.
Recently enjoyed a demo shoot (sporting clays) at Creekwood, courtesy of our Baserri "friends". Shot both the HR and Elite...."shweet" experience. Wait until you see their "Camo"...it's not even on their website yet.
