Glock 19: Way too big to carry.

I think what they're trying to say is you shouldn't try to reholster with it is attached to your belt still, which makes sense to me since its designed for appendix carry (though it can be adjusted and carried other places too, I'll probably carry it at 2 just like I do OWB). I have zero interest in shoving a loaded gun down the front of my pants with no holster.

The draw from concealment and reholstering starts around 8:40.

Any time you put a loaded gun into a holster (especially a Glock) you should be careful. Just don't try to reholster in a minimalist holster while its in your pants and you'll be fine.

Nice idea. I just wonder about appendix carry. Might be tough to sit in a car with a G19 stashed there. Or is it?

I'm working on removing a bit of a gut so appendix carry isn't feasible for me at the moment. But as I stated previously, carrying OWB at the 2 oclock position works great for me.(12 being belly button, 3 right hip, 6 small of back for anyone who's wondering why the heck I keep talking about the time)

I have no trouble with my G19 there. If I'm driving for several hours I normally pocket carry a revolver with the G19 or Sig in the console because its more comfortable, but for driving around town 2 o clock OWB isn't bad at all for me.

If I can carry a Glock 20 you can carry a Glock 19. As you have discovered it is all in the cloths, belt and holster.

I can easily carry a G30 IWB. In fact its my EDC. It is about the same size as a G19 except its fatter. I have put my wife's G19 in my holster before and it conceals very easily. I would carry one. It is lighter than a G30 and I like how slim it is. That pistol of hers feels like it was made for my hands. Another G19 fan here. Carry at about 4-5 o'clock with no problems IWB with any clothes. It will probably be easier once my belt gets here.

Heck no it isn't tough. I absolutely love carrying appendix..... the only time I do not carry appendix is when I carry OWB. G30 and G17 all day long, in cars and sitting and standing and everything--zero problems.

I carry a G19 OWB in a Crossbreed Snapslide:

It was too heavy and uncomfortable for me in other holsters, but with the Crossbreed I can carry it all day.

I carry a G23 IWB and an OWB. I have no problems, but I am not a little fellow either.

I carry a glock 23 or a19 in a crossbreed supertuck @ my 3:30-4 o clock. Conceals well and I love the gun. No issues here as far as size and weight. I'm 6' 1" and 155 lbs.

I think the mid size Glock is small enough to conceal and yet big enough to fight.

There's not much of a size difference between the G19 vs G26 and given the mag cap IMO the G19 is the better choice. Just make sure you have a good system or holster and carrying the G19 IWB shouldn't be a prob.

My 26's mag cap is 20, plus the one in the chamber when I use a Glock 17 mag and a pearce grip PG39 which adds 3 rounds That's my Winter carry, easy to conceal

Unless I carry the 26 with a Glock 19 mag and a pearce grip PG39 +3 extension so the mag cap is 18+1 chambered that's my Summer carry; shorter grip for lighter T shirts in summer etc.

You see I own a 19 too in that photo... it just stays home since I got the 26 years ago ....
Of course for deep concealment I can use a Glock 26 mag with a pearce grip +3 extension for 13+1 rounds in a front pocket ... but you can't do that with a Glock 19.


the shorter slide on the 26 means when I sit down, I don't have to wear my pants as high when carrying at 3:00 ... the shorter slide won't go clunk on the chair as easily.

I don't do pants on the ground, but I also don't like wearing high waste pants belts as a bra with long slides to keep the muzzle from clinking on wood/metal chairs.



I own a 19, it can be carried ... the 26 is more versatile; offers more options, and can do everything my 19 does, and more.
