Add every vendor selling ARs or mags at the FW gun show. Prices were triple what they were at the Mesquite show last Saturday.
Entry level ARs were pushing $2k (same AR was sub $700 at last Dallas Market Hall show). Several average ARs over $3k.
AKs were running anywhere from $1k to $1700.
Mags were sky high.

What was the pre-panic price on the Windham Weaponry AR's?

Depends on the model. I'm thinking $1000 discount retail to $1400 gun show full MSRP price.

Sells on gunbroker. Pulls his stock from his website, flipping Pmags for $45 each
http://www.gunbroker.com/All/Completed/ ... ageSize=75" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If his distributor(s) knew about this behavior, I'd bet some, most or even all would discontinue selling inventory to this "retailer"

Just trying to lighten the mood. :biggrinjester:

I'm sorry to hear about New Frontier. It's understandable if they're raising prices on new orders, but retroactively raising prices on product that was already ordered and confirmed is a really slimy business practice.
We're not sure what's happening. The key issue is that we can't sell below the MAP (technically, it's a UPP). They have not come back to me and said they are raising prices of products that haven't shipped yet, but that's pretty standard these days (and you can pay the difference or get a refund).
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

It's not just "assault weapons" and their accessories.

Yesterday, I paid $28 for a 555 bulk box of Win .22 LR. AFAIK, that box that normally costs $22 was the only .22 LR within a 70 mile radius and it is now all mine. :evil2:

S.A.W. from Mesquite had two different booths at the gun show. One under their own banner and another under the banner of "gun toyz". The gun toyz booth didn't even bother taking the old SAWs price tag off of stuff. Glock mags with a SAWs price tag of $23.95 were in bins with an index card stating a price of $48.
Of course the SAWs booth was selling handguns at their usual price. This was nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to give the impression that SAWs was not inflating their prices. I purchased my first AR from SAWs and recently bought my wife a handgun from them. Never again.

I can't remember the last time I saw a win 555 pack or a fed 550 pack. I have had luck finding the 225 packs for $9.97. Also have seen a 500 pack in a wooden box for $24.95.

I've never been impressed with SAW's prices, even before this mess. They always struck me as full MSRP, plus Texas Sales Tax, while others at the same show were offering discounts to MSRP in the past. Some of the Gun Toyz employees seemed to be "tools" so I guess they showed their true colors. I never would buy from SAW/Gun Toys but they made my list thanks to your post.

Im not in favor of gouging BUT

if you assume the vendors that are selling are predicting that they either will have to pay huge increases to replace stock or WAIT long times to get ANY more stock . It makes some sense to increase revenue, in order to have enough cash on hand to reorder at higher prices.

I wish I had bought a spare AR or 2 when they were at the recent lows of $800

But you wont see a red cent of mine and there will be honest shops out there honoring normal prices that ppl will flock to. What's that called? Oh ya, capitalism! :thumbs2:
