I am not sure I can figure out why some of you are offended by people asking how ever much they want to ask for an item they want to sell. Embarrassed ??? Why on earth should the guy be embarrassed? Seems to me he was a bit smarter than some folks and stocked up when the mags were available. He has nothing to be embarrassed about. He is a true American! :patriot:

Just wait a while; that's when the funny begins. People who know nothing about guns have probably stockpiled a bunch of this crap, and likely overpaid by a substantial margin. In 6 months, they're going to be looking to flip their wares for a hefty profit, and not realize that crap will be everywhere for the original prices.

There is a chance of that. It has happened a few times before. When odumbell was elected the first time, the same deal happened. Things did settle down but they never returned to the pre-odumbell prices. I sold a few Romanian AK's I had for an average of 800 dollars each. I had paid around 250-300 each for them... Maybe 350 for a few. I thought I was doing pretty good back then getting 800. I saw several on gun broker being sold for 1200 and higher just a little while ago.

It is all about supply and demand. I figure one of these times the socialist party will get away with banning some of these weapons and at that point folks will be really asking some big money for them. Then again, if they outlaw transferring them, you could be stuck with them when the music stops playing.

Time will tell. I have 9mm federal red box in the cabinet right now that I paid about nine dollars a box for in 2008. Same goes for several other calibers. I didn't stock up so much to resell the ammo as I was afraid the socialist party would make it hard to get and I wanted a stockpile to be sure I had ammo. It has been a long time and I still don't have to chase ammo around when I want to shoot.

I am almost afraid to sell some of my goodies this time... At any price. I sure don't hold ill will towards those that decide to part with their stash at a profit. They may end up wishing they still had some of this stuff.

Can we add some of the prices in our classified section to the price gougers? Personally I would like to see a rule that people cannot list items for twice their value so they go to other places to take advantage of the current situation... I know, I know buyer beware.....

They have every right to ask what they want, just as we have every right to laugh at it and ignore it. A rule that determines prices sounds...well, not American. :patriot:

Yep... While we are at it. Maybe we should make a rule that we all have to share our earnings with each other to equalize the pay scales. :coolgleamA:

Items won't sell at twice their value, they will sell at what the market will bear, aka market value.

Maybe not. I own a business and am on my second month with no paycheck. I would love for you to share your check with me.

EXACTLY!!! I just went over and looked at some of the Century Arms AK's. those things are pure junk and people are asking 1400 or more for them!! The very same guns I sold four years ago for 800. I feel cheated!

If I understand, the problem will be that manufacturers will hold-back new production to see what new restrictions pass.?

Why risk holding inventory they can't sell? If they're smart, they'll make hay while the sun shines.
