UPDATED: 7:48 pm CDT July 5, 2007

GARLAND, Texas -- Police said they are looking for the three culprits in the robbery of a gun store on Tuesday.

Three men went into B & S Guns in the 6200 block of Broadway Boulevard and took rifles, according to the Garland Police Department. They said one of the men distracted the clerk while the other two robbed the store.

The culprits then went to the Discount Video Store next door and robbed it, police said. That store has been robbed three times recently.
Police said the robbers are all black men between the ages of 20 and 30. One is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 to 140 pounds. The others are both about 6 feet tall, one weighing 250 to 270 pounds and the other 130 to 150 pounds.

Police said they are reviewing the surveillance video of the gun store. Investigators said the trio might be responsible for other area robberies.

Garland police asked that anyone with any information about the incidents or culprits call Crimestoppers at 972-272-TIPS.

Hmmm..........I wonder what time of day this happened? Everytime I've been in B&S Guns, there have been at least 3 or 4 salesmen and a lady at the register. Sometimes there's a gunsmith there also. All the people that work there do open carry.

Mighty brave of the robbers to do that.

Pretty brazen during business hours. And then to go right next door and rob it.

"Brazen" seems to be the modus operandi these days...

Good thing Latin is not my strong point...

Question to the Dallas CHL battalion...

Where is B&S in relation to the Casa Linda area??? Seems like a lot of places have been getting hit up and down, along Garland Road recently (over the last year or so)...

My Grandmother lives up in the older nieghborhood right around the Casa Linda area...Just trying to get a little better feel for the crime trends in that area...

I agree, Hmmm....... I've only been in there once before and the open carry by all made a lasting impact on me and I remember thinking that if more store owners did that, there would be much less crime. These crooks are extremely stupid or a little brave. Maybe both.

I agree! Very brave! I am really suprised that I didn't read "Suspects shot multiple times each" after being in that store a few times. Thank GOD nobody was hurt(as far as employees/patrons).

stevie_d_64 - The store is right at I-30 and Beltline.

It's not really close to Casa Linda at all. B&S is on I-30 in Garland.

Myself and MrsFosforos walked into the aftermath of the B&S robbery. We kind of wondered what was up with the three cop cars and forensics unit outside the store. None of the employees seemed upset, carried on business as usual. The foresic team was dusting the counter for fingerprints.

Although we don't even sell guns, the suspected meth monkey(s) that hit our place again in the middle of the night last month did not seem to realize that ...

Not a robbery, but a theft. They hid folding stock rifles in their baggy "gansta" pants and slipped out.

Yeah Casa Linda is about 10 miles from B&S guns in Garland. Even though Garland Rd is pretty long and only half of its is in Garland. The rest of it runs though Dallas. I probably wouldn't worry any more than you do now. Cause as we all know it can happen anywhere. Look at what happen to Age_ranger about a month ago. He live up in Plano area witch is suppose to be the high end area.

But yeah I would have to say they are pretty bold. Not only for going right next door to rob the video store but to do it with unloaded weapons. (Unless they had mags of ammo waiting for them in the car.)

And another thing. Why did they not have the cable locks that run though the trigger guards on all the guns that are accessible to the public. If they want to play with one they can ask for help. That's just nuts.
