Probably exactly what they are going for - something that makes the weapon interesting and non-threatening. I just disagree with the whole painting pink, see-through, coffee maker attachment, concept. It is a defensive weapon (of course, there are offensive weapons also) and they are to be respected - not to be made or appear like they are toys!!!
