Aren't feelings/perceptions more important than reality?

We can all take comfort in the fact that the murderer will now be banned from riding in Uber cars.

One of my greatest fears is to be banned for life from riding in an Uber car.

I disagree with the Uber decision/memo, but I don't see how it would have had made any difference in this situation. The driver wouldn't have been able to have a handgun in NYC to begin with.

If it were in TX, or any other gun-friendly area for that matter, it might have been labeled as the cause.

He was driving a Taxi Cab when shot.....Last drove Uber in March

Is it possible that they originally reported he was an Uber driver and then corrected it? That would make sense....what would having once driven for Uber lend to the story. Also, link to story still says "uber-driver....."

Are there any cab companies that allow employees to carry weapons while driving?
I see talk of getting mad at Uber for this, but is it different anywhere else?
