Yeah, that operator kind of irritated me too. But the video piece they did on her didn't look too good as he was trying to get out the door when she shot him.KBCraig wrote:Okay, why is the 911 operator telling her to stop shooting? The operator has no idea is the shooting is warranted, or what the immediate circumstances are.
She's also lucky this is Texas. She shot him through the front door as the guy is trying to leave. An anti-gun prosecutor's wet dream.

If she dosen't stop talking I afraid she's going to talk herself out of a good position and into a bad one.

She will be on tv tonight.
As for making it crystal clear...i guess it wouldnt effect what they would report, but if for some reason I am made into a mini celeb, I would say all i could on the air!

I hate cringing when someone says stupid stuff, because I don't want us to be molded into PC-speak. But I'm worried when their mouths might get them into a bad position legally, or when they make us all sound like trigger-happy goons. (Not just "Granny", but others who've been in the news.)
Just BTW, she's a pretty good lookin' bird for 66. If I was 20 years older and single, I'd give her a call.

I too, was p'd off at that dispatcher. Mark Davis, on WBAP 820 really had good comments about that yesterday.
I told my wife last night that grandma needs to stop with the "look at me I am a celebrity" stuff. Its gonna bit her in the butt.
She was on EVERY radio station in Dallas that would have her yesterday. All of her statements are recorded and can be used against her if some prosecutor decides to take that path.
I think what she did was great and I support her; however, I believe she shot at him while fleeing at one point?
I just hope she STOPS TALKING TO THE MEDIA!!!!!

Yeah...The 15 minutes is over...
She made her fame and friends in the pro community, and certainly had the guy dead to rights...
I hope someone close to her lets her in on the idea...I don't think anyone blames her for being as open (talkative) as she is about this incident, we pretty much don't want some over-zealous lawyer (present company excluded) getting happy feet and filing some lawsuit on her for some reason on behalf of the dunderhead she shot...
I'm still glad she came out ahead on this thing...

This incident could be very good for Texas CHL and the Pro Gun interest if handled properly.
