Have to agree about not owning anything Chi-Com.
I refuse to give any of my money to them.

I must be lucky. Every Colt 1911 I ever had ran like a top.
Only Colt's I ever had trouble with were Pythons.
Never owned a Kel-Tec but have heard a lot of negative things about them.

i am going to have to put two suits on for this one. i will probably never own a revolver. i just cant get into them. and Ruger semi autos. I shot my brother in laws once and that sealed the deal for me!! very uncomfortable, and cheap feeling. it isn't even desirable to the eye...

Can we add to the OP. flip it around. which guns do you own that you like so much, you would like or do own more than one of the same gun.

Yes, and I'm sorry if you're offended, especially because you are good guy and let me shoot your Ruger, which is a fine pistol otherwise.

The warning labels bother me on principle. To me, they imply "You're too stupid to know that this is a weapon."
Does any gun come today without some kind of read the manual label?
I looked at about 1,000 handguns at the NRA convention in 2005, and only a few brands had warning labels engraved or stamped into them.
Of course I'm not offended I was just trying to understand. We all have likes and dislikes, and to be honest I never gave it much thought, I had to buy a lawn trimmer this weekend, darn thing had 15 or 20 labels in fluorescent colors. I feel just as strong about Chinese arms, I have a long memory, but as I see it they are still trying to kill our children and our cats.

Ya gotta try out this Berretta though..

"They call me the fireman...That's muh name!"

Now I'll be up all night with that tune in muh head!!! Dirnit!

As for my most hated manufacturer...I'll go with the Ruger's...They are very similar to the guns in my dreams that just don't ever want to feel and work right...Either when I'm asleep or awake...Thats why I don't have any...

I know...I'm an odd pepper of the bunch I suppose...But I didn't ask the question...I only logged back in to see whats goin' on... ;-)

Gun content: I will never own another Kel-Tec for reasons you guys don't want to hear again, and the Ruger autos (although good weapons) feel like a brick with a trigger on them to me.

Any gun that the name starts with a "G" and ends with "lock" is a gun I would not own. I just cannot stand the awful triggers, the box 'o Wheaties profile when worn concealed or the unnatural bulky feel in my hand. I also don't care for plastic weapons (or holsters).

But that may all be due to the fact that I prefer 1911's, which are about as opposite of a Block as can be in every way. Metal and leather for me.

you shot both of your Brother-in-Laws? man. that's harsh!

I'd say HiPoint. and KelTec. I genuinely feel (and we all know about feeeeeeeelings) that these two companies should just change their slogans to, "Keeping gangs and DB's armed, since 1962..."

Taurus, on the other hand.... I'm fond of....

I like Glocks. but I won't buy one. they are great. but in the same caliber, the recoil is just plain "different" than my M9.
eh, well....

I know the flames are comming over this one but I'll never own another Kimber. Had 2, both junk, Factory could not make work right either. Not even good for a boat anchor.

Maybe its strange but, I dont like owning anything Polymer. I like to feel that, should I run out of rounds, I could use my weapon as a club. I made an exception for my p232.

After shooting a Glock model 21, I said I'd never own a Glock. When my wife fell for the Glock model 19, I reconsidered. It turns out that I just can't stand the large-frame Glocks (I haven't found a G21SF to try, yet). A G23 is now my primary CCW.

I always said I'd never own a pocket pistol, because of my big hands. Until we were forced to put my son in a daycare in a less-than-desirable neighborhood and I needed something that was ultimately concealable without an untucked shirt or a shirt tucked over a holster. I now own a Kel-Tec P-11 (which goes bang every time for me. I must be lucky.). Okay, so it only qualifies as a pocket pistol on pants with rather large pockets, but, since my reason for not liking pocket pistols is that I have large hands, most of my pants have large pockets. Go figure.

I guess I now need to say that I'll never own a high-dollar 1911, so that some day I will! ;-) ;-)

My contribution:
I won't buy another Charter 2000 revolver. I had a Mag Pug 357mag. When The ejector rod broke and the cylinder fell out on the ground that was it. (I have an old Charter Arms Undercover 38 spl. that has been fine)
When a company goes out of business, reorganizes, and comes back with a different name, that should be a hint. ;-)

I'm never going to order a gun sight unseen again!!! If I can't hold it, try the trigger and strip it down first. I'm not going to buy it!!
Stevie D, Longtooth and some of you others please remind me once in a while! OK?

EAA Witness has unreasonable customer service in my opinion. Mine broke. It cost me too much money to have it fixed, under warrantee. I shoot it very well, but it makes me mad every time I look at it and remember the hassel I went through.

I have to defend the Chi-Com stuff. I have a Norinco 9mm that goes bang ever time and shoots ANY type of ammo without malfunction. I have qualified with it two times and shot a perfect score both times. I use the Norinco just to mess with peoples minds. It was $125 new, with a hard case, two magazines and a cleaning rod.

MAK 90(AK clone) is another Chi-Com winner. Chrome lined barrel and a nice trigger! I wish I had bought several for $199 NIB.

My 4 Kel-Tecs all work NOW. To bad they don't come from the factory that way! But hey, that's what makes this a HOBBY!

I think AMT went bankrupt three or four times!

Mine is the AMT .380 Backup. And I have one of the early models that I bought before the quality went down!

I spent at least 8 hours with a file and stone removing all of the burrs and tooling marks on the frame and slide. I had to polish the ramp so it would feed. Also, I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it. It's for sale. Any one interested?

Your AMT 380 would go nicely with my Bersa 380. I use it as a backup gun just in case I loose my wheel chocks. Shoots well (once) then the decocking lever wants to un-lock and start backing out of the slide. After two shots, it has backed out half way and hangs on the hammer preventing return to battery. Nice feel in the hand but not nice feeling when you need to depend on your CCW. No more Bersa's for me.

Well all the ones I would have named were already preempted in the OP. All those notwithstanding There aren't any entire brands I would refuse to own.

With the exception of Glock and Colt there are models made by every manufacturer that I would not pick up if I saw them laying on the sidewalk. But each maker also has something that I would like to have.
