cant argue with moving from a .380 to a 9mm but until someone makes a single action trigger (or a double that doesnt stink) i'll be keeping my lil sig
i guess the key is always practice with what you got but i shot a diamondback that a fella swore id love better than my .380 and id never carry that , id rather pop off a few accurate .380 +p shots than test my grip strength once . but that me , im sure a few of you could make me look like a fool with their pocket 9mmDA

im transitioning away also but to a GI 1911 . i made a pretty spiffy holster that i'll wear anytime now with jeans or heavy shorts ....but gym shorts or board shorts the .380 is comming with
i think my next more permanent move would be a 3.5 1911 for me

does anybody rotate guns pretty often ?

I got rid of my LCP in a 229 trade. After I bought my P238, I just had no use for the LCP. I am not a hater, just loved the P238 as it was easier to shoot. My next 9 will be the 9mm brother of the P238...the P938. I am more stoked about it than I was with the Solo.

P238, G33, G23, Kimber Ultra Carry, CW 9, CW 40...I guess it depends on how I am dressed and what I am in the mood for.

Wow.... That ia a lot of rotating! LOL... My son in law teases me because I rotate between two guns... My PM9 is my most often carried but if we are going to somewhere like a waffle house or something similar, I carry my Glock in .40 caliber and an extra magazine. Yeah... I know we can never be sure of what or when trouble will strike but common sense tells me I am more likely to be engaged by a doped up thug at waffle house than chunky cheeses... .

He has watched me shove my holsterd PM9 into my waist band thousands of times and never says anything... He watches me get the Glock and jokingly says... Expecting trouble? :smilelol5:

I almost forgot to mention my reasoning for limited rotation. I believe if my weapon is needed, I better be ready for instinct mode with my weapon. I am a pretty good shot with about any weapon but I am dangerous good with my PM9 and Glock... I think I might be able to hit my target while blind with those two weapons... I have worn them out with practice. It is second nature holding and firing them... No bragging but I have gotten to where I can just look at what I want to shoot with them and pull the trigger from my waist and hit what I am looking at. I can't say that about all my other options.. And I have several.

I recently sold my Bodyguard .380 with my thoughts being:

#1> Why did I buy a .380 when I could have bought a 9mm?

#2> If I am carrying a back up gun it is in my pocket or boot, both places which tend to have lint and dirt. I feel much better carrying my .38 wheel gun as a BUG than a semi auto.

#3> Ammo- keeping another caliber of ammo "in stock" at the house just didn't make sense.

#4> Since stockpiling ammo didn't make sense, I was know keeping a gun around that would serve no purpose in a disaster scenario.

....that is my 2 cents (and it may or may bot be worth that)...

I have to admit to feeling less than confident about the .380 as a carry weapon. I suppose shot placement is always important... but the .380 may be more critical than the .45.
