I'm with Mike on the HydraShoks, and the Corbon DPX.
I'd try maybe 3 of the top recommended that you can find locally (so you can replenish your supply easily), and see which ones feed the best and are the most accurate. If they all are reliable, just take your pick. I have some Corbon DPX in my 4506, but it eats anything. I carried HydraShoks in it since the early '90s, and still have a couple of mags loaded with those, too. I don't much care for the 185gr +P varieties. I like 230s, so I can have the same POI as ball.

My primary ammo is the Winchester Ranger T 230 grain SXT +p. Feeds very reliably in my weapon and always gets high marks in ballistics testing. It can be a bit hard to find at times; my best luck with both availability and pricing has been at the gun shows. Last batch I bought, I paid $21 per box of 50 rounds. You will find a large price range from $20 up to $40 per box.
I am currently trying out some of the Hornady TAP 200 grain +p. I haven't shot them yet, but I can say, there may be something to their claim about the black coated nickel cases, they are slick as all get out. They can be difficult toload when topping off the last round or 2 in a hi cap magazine.
I'm also about to try out some Double Tap ammo. The ballistics look awesome on these rounds and they have both the Hornady XTP and the Speer Gold Dot loadings available. They list higher velocities than most other manufacturers but stay below +p pressures. It's not cheap but there's been a lot of high marks for them on a couple of other forums that I visit.

My concern with the Hydrashocks has always been the thin jacket and violent expansion producing less than favorable results if you had to shoot someone through heavy clothing and such. That's why I prefer a bonded bullet.
