50 round 10/22 banana clips?

#1

Post by makenzie71 »

Way back in the day my dad had a pair of 50 round banana clips for our 10/22's. I'm trying to find a company that still makes them but all I'm finding now are 30 rounders.

Anyone here have any insight?

Anyone else here have a match-built 10/22 for a dailer plinker? I'm currently building my fourth one...I love these guns!

Gander Mountain carries the 50rnd mags, but I can't recall the maker. They have them in both black and clear plastic.

I got my first 10/22 a few months ago but haven't had a chance to shoot it much yet.
I got my mags from http://www.cheaperthandirt.com

I have seen 30 and 50 round magazines made by Eagle and Butler Creek. I have a 30 round Butler Creek and have used it on and off for the last ten years. It has been a wonderful, low maintenance magazine...Eagle's product is not as strong. At one time Academy carried the Butler Creek, but I am not sure if they still do.

I just checked the single 30rd clip I have left and it's a Ram-Line...had it for years and it's been very reliable.

I'll check out butler creek..thanks!

I see them all the time at the gunshows these days...

The 10/22 was the first rifle my Dad bought for me and my brother many years ago...

Both are in great shape and shoot tremendously well...

My brother happened to trick his rifle out to look like an evil "black gun" a long while back, and he also purchased a 50 rnd mag for it at that time...

I kept mine rather stock, and only added a nice little scope to it that is good for nailing head shots on those sneaky squirrels from time to time (in my youth)...

I getting interested in paying more attention to those magazines when I see them tucked away in a display at those gunshows in the future...

If my wife ever figures out how much fun it is to shoot that thing, y'all might be good to buy stock in Remington and CCI ammo...

Bricks of .22, I hear, are going at some pretty good prices these days...

+1!
I wish that my wife would have become fascinated with a .22...she took a liking to my Ruger P95 and I ended up giving it to her (I still clean it and it is in my safe...so it was really not a bad deal.) She zones out at the range and is totally concentrating and will blow through a couple of hundred rounds before she looks up.
