Darn tootin' he was "justified".
Police responded to at least 42 calls for burglaries and thefts at Walton's place before the shootings.
Glad to hear he was No Billed. Thanks for the update.

After 42 calls any one of us would have been justified. Glad to hear that.

I'm glad to hear he was no-billed. It sounds like he's been through a lot and this has probably cost him.
Hopefully, he'll get his shotguns back.

If, by "justified," they mean "commendable," then I agree.

I'm glad the old man didn't get hurt either time. I'm grateful for his family that he is still alive. Its a good thing that the old man was has the legal right to defend himself and his property. I guess its all and all a good thing.
Yet, I can't find it in my heart to celebrate his killing of 2 men. Things worked out all right for him, I think he might have, got enough money to replace his confiscated guns even. That being said, I find nothing
commendable about shooting unarmed men down, Any courage he had was about defending his own property.

Short and sweet, to the point...
It almost feels like it was a reluctant piece of news that had to someho w get reported or something...
Hope Mr. Walton got his property (two shotguns) back right then and there!
Maybe this will be the end of it...But he'll still have to live with knowing he took two lives, and the fact that he was treated more like a criminal by FORMER FoxNews reporterette Rebecca Aguilar for her less than stellar line of questioning!
This is something I am not going to forget...

I don't think anyone here is "celebrating" anyone else's death, but are relieved that this man's ordeal is over. Yes, he received money from many forum members here to pay for replacement weapons, but I doubt he received enough to cover his legal fees. And this was not a situation he created, but simply had to respond to it the best way he could.
If there is any celebrating going on, it is that Mr. Walton can now resume his life and continue running his business.

I'm glad it has worked out well for Mr. Walton and I hope Channel 4 doesn't hire that twit reporter ( Gloria something or other) back, that hijacked Mr Walton. She will probably get a job with one of the many other liberal news agencies though and be treated like a hero.

The 10.00 check I sent Mr Walton some time ago has not been cashed. Has anyone that sent him a check had it cashed?

From what I've read about the shootings, "No Bill" was indeed the correct verdict.
I'm glad for Mr. Walton that this happened in TX rather some blighted part of the country like MA, NY, IL, or CA . . .

I know what you mean. But, I am not 100% on all the details that the news gave out. According to the 911 call, it didn't sound like he was justified. Although I would like to think he should not be penalized, he did go outside where he was perfectly safe inside.

Just FYI
This is the man in Dallas that shot two people in a couple of weeks that had tried to break into his salvage business.
It is not the man that called 911 about his neighbors house in Pasadena that was being broke into. That is still pending AFAIK.
