Unusual primer on 9mm parabellum reloads

I bought some reloads from Dallas Reload Service (the outfit that sells reloads at all the local shows). As I was sorting through them, I noticed two cartridges had primers unlike anything I've seen before. Here's the picture:

Has anyone ever seen this before?

Since you can see the anvil of the primer, they are put in backwards [upside down]. I suggest you take them back to where you bought them. Obviously Dallas Reload Service didn't do a good job of inspecting their work.

:mad5 I'll certainly be bringing these cartridges with me to the next show, and I will show them what I bought. I can't imagine they'll care or do anything about it, but still...

I have 1,500 rounds of these from them. At this point, I'm not even sure if I should shoot them.

They'll replace the ammo. Obviously, you cannot fire the ones with upside down primers but you can shoot the rest.
This is not uncommon with mass production. I've seen brand new remington and federal ammo with upside down primers and even seen one cartridge with the bullet loaded upside down in the case.

Anyway, I'd call them on the phone and tell them about it.

Hey, stuff happens. Dallas Reloading is not a fly by night kinda place. They will take care of it.

Call em up and give em a chance to make it right.

They'll probably be at the upcoming Tyler show and I'll see them there. I've bought lots of ammo from them and have found them to be very friendly. I'll bring them the cartridges and we'll see what they say.

I've had some WWB white box ammo that didn't have any primers.

Always look before you put the defensive rounds in.
