Wonderful resource.
One of my favorite quotes:
Theologians J. P. Moreland and Norman Geisler say that "to permit murder when one could have prevented it is morally wrong. To allow a rape when one could have hindered it is an evil. To watch an act of cruelty to children without trying to intervene is morally inexcusable. In brief, not resisting evil is an evil of omission, and an evil of omission can be just as evil as an evil of commission. Any man who refuses to protect his wife and children against a violent intruder fails them morally."

What I like bout this is he has applied biblical hermeneuticsto these verses. Too many times verses are taken out of context and twisted to try and mean something to fit their current view to make someone feel warm and fuzzy. You must understand what was happening at the time the verse was actually written and how it applied to the people and the culture of the time to really start to interpret the true meaning. This pastor has done this with many of these verses in the article which substantiates the true meaning.

You mean like when the Constitution and BOR was written too, right?

It has to be applied to all written and verbal communications, including the Constitution and BOR. To really understand what the thought process was and the reasoning behind it, you need to study what was happening at the time it was written/spoken and understand their frame of mind and intentions for the text/word.

When I said essentially the same thing a while back, some people got really upset with me.

I'm taking that to theology class on Monday, and Bible study on Tuesday.
