I'm not too familiar with the XD (that’s what it is right?) but it looks ok. If it’s cycling rounds that’s a good sign.
Another thing you can do is with it UNLOADED and NO ammo in the mag. Point it at the ceiling and put a pencil down the barrel eraser first so the eraser sits on the firing pin hole. And, after you're darn sure it's unloaded, pull the trigger if the pencil flies out of the barrel then the firing pin works and it should fire a real round.

The XD is almost impossible to reassimble incorrectly as long as you only field strip it for cleaning. Detail stripping - - - that's a whole 'nother story! You did it right, now go get it dirty again.
