Where do you buy your guns?
Where do you guys buy your guns?
Academy? Online? Gun shows?
I'll appreciate any links if you have for boards of local, regular people selling their guns (FTF sales).

I've always found my friendly FFL to have the best prices on new guns.

Re: Where do you buy your guns?
Jeff Schramm (SAWS) - he has a storefront now but has less expensive prices on "high volume" guns at the gunshows
Sporting Arms - in Lewisville (they have a website also). They stock some guns but normally order what you want. Markup is lower than some.
If you decide to purchase from Bachman Pawn & Gun, they sell most of their "high volume" guns at the gunshows for considerably less than they do at their store.
Several out of state dealers that I initially had a positive experience with on GunBroker.
I also watch various forum classifieds in case there's a FTF sale I might be interested in (for guns that are no longer in production).

Frankly, I no longer look at these sites. I buy more from GunsAmerica than anywhere else. Although they have a few auctions, most listings are just classified ads. Once you register (free), you can create a wish list of brands or types that interest you and you are sent a daily email of new listings based on your wish list. Most items are as high as anywhere else, but the deals are there for anyone to find. I manage to buy 3-5 month from there alone.
I also regularly check http://www.yankeeartifacts.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . They are very fair on their pricing and good to di business with. They also list on GunsAmerica but I've been using their site directly for 6-7 years.
Froms GunsAmerica this week, I've bought a NIB Bond Century 2000 derringer in .45 Colt/ 3" .410 for $350 and a blued H&R .32 top break for $125.
Also picked up from Allan's Armory http://www.allans-armory.com/aa.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; a Ruger stainless Service Six snub for $325.

Re: Where do you buy your guns?
I'm not looking to buy at retail or slightly below retail. I'm looking for the websites where people sell their own guns. Where I can probably find better deals then dealer's websites/stores cause regular guys like us need money or really want the next gun so they are usually more flexible on the price

I bought my LCP @ Academy, Taurus 94 @ Cabela's, Bersa UC9 @ Austin Gun Liquidators, Bersa Thunder @ Saxet; so I never buy 2 guns at the same place.

Lets see, I bought 1 complete AR and 1 stripped lower at a gun show. I bought 1 gun online, I bought 1 gun from a forum member here, I have bought 2 guns from academy, I got a number of guns from dealers including K&W trading and the Ace Hardware in Seminole.

While I would like to support our local merchants, well...er,...uh, sometimes they don't...uh... have the selection...either.
I've been very satisfied with my last three (3) purchases from http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Re: Where do you buy your guns?
For me it's gun shows or online auctions. For online auction it's primarily auctionarms.com.
Gun shows offer a prospective buyer to negotiate the selling price more favorably than you can at a gun store. Online auctions provide you the ability to put in your bid on what you're willing to pay. And either keep upping the bid, or walk away if the price gets to high.
But I have to admit, I love to negotiate a purchase price and I'm a big used gun fan as IMO, the best deals are in the used gun market, and I'm very price conscious.

Re: Where do you buy your guns?
I got my Glocks at Bullet Trap and the Henry at Bass Pro.
I have too many other interests to collect guns. At this point I really just view them as tools, with the exception of the Henry. I love the cowboy lever action from all the old westerns.
There have been a few black guns that have been for sale here that I would get if I had the extra money. A couple have been really tempting.
Until there is something wrong with the tools I have I probably won't be getting else. Unless that Benelli M4 comes across my path at a price I can't refuse. I mean, who couldn't use a good shotgun from HD?
