shot the kimber

#1

Post by tauruspt145 »

So i finally got a chance to shoot the kimber. Man, what a gun i love the way it shoots. I must say after shooting a hk 9mm,xd 40,millenium pro 45, and taurus judge all in the same day the kimber blew them away. I am no sharp shooter but i tore the 10 ring apart at ten yards. I must admit it was fun shooting 410 slugs out of "the judge" though.

Good to hear...when you spend a pretty penny on something its always nice to love after you try it out.

Congrats ! I have 2 Kimber .45's (among others), and they are both very accurate.
The more you get to shoot yours, the more you'll like it..... if that's possible.

Two Kimbers in my collection here, love both and the carry rotation currently has one in my holster. I can live without a Kimber but I wouldn't want to.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I was able to get out today and shoot both my Kimber Custom Target II and My Taurus PT 1911. The Kimber's okay; however, I've yet to see where it's worth that much more than a Taurus PT 1911. Somebody help me, I must be a really big dufous.

I also shot my beloved SA Compact LW 1911

That is why there are different models, manufacturers, and pricing - we can each find the one that fits and works for us!

Very nice. I ask about the model because I have been considering treating myself to a high end 1911, and I have been looking at the Kimbers very closely. I am waffleing between the Kimber SIS and the Sig TTT. Tough choices. I am getting tons of positive feedback from Kimber shooters but I am having a tough time finding shooters with a lot of Sig 1911 experience. This is starting to push me into the Kimber camp, although I do love Sig. Congrats on your purchase.

I have 1 Kimber, a Custom II full size, and a second one order (an Ultra II CDP). Great handguns!

Regarding one of the posts, above, I believe that Kimber is discontinuing the SIS model in 2010. I am sure however that they can still be found. The only reason that I know for discontinuing the SIS is that some complained that using the "SIS" initials on the slide instead of the normal cocking serrations made the slide feel slippery.
