leaving town for a long period of time need storage solution

#1

Post by attila79 »

So I may be leaving to Seattle WA, for three years. I'll probably take a rifle and my carry pistol, but I'm not sure what to do with the rest. So I wanted to ask if you guys had any suggestions for long term storage where they would be safe. My wife will stay behind for the first year while I start school, but don't feel safe just leaving everything with her not because I don't trust her, but because neighbors\people I'm sure will notice less people in the house. I won't have the space to take all my stuff and my firearms on one trip. So I need a long term storage solution.

I won't be given much time to move to Seattle if I get accepted so I won't be able to make, but one trip. The first year from what I found out is crazy and probably won't come home very often if at all.

Any ideas...and no your home wouldn't be an option for me ;-) .

Yes they do, I believe it is $4 per gun per month.

Can you not buy a safe, and pack them into it with padded cases?
Might be good for transport when the time comes.
Depends on Qty, obviously.

You can ask your local Police, but its easy to get them to take the guns, its hard to get them back.

How many Firearms are we talking about here?

Alpine Gun Range will also store for a fee. Make sure to check your insurnace coverage wherever you decide to store them.
