El Dorado schematic

#1

Post by T45Rex »

Does anyone out there happen to have a schematic or blow up of a United Sporting Arms El Dorado .44 mag. Or better yet, have one they could take a picture of the parts in the grip around the cyclinder lockup? Thx guys. I've spent hours and hours online. None of the normal sources have one that I can find. They didn't make that many of them!

I have a PDF file for a US Firearms of America SAA that I could send you if you think it
is the same. :confused5

Any chance the manufacturer,s name could be slightly different.
Anyway worth a shot. No pun intended.

Hey, thanks for the try. No they arn't the same. This was a small family company in the late 70-s to 80's, that did change names a few times. If you search them up it is an interesting read. Anyway, their claim to fame is the El Dorado being the first all stainless .44mag made available to the public. They were considered pretty much custom guns quality-wise. I had an FFL during those years and I remember them coming out and costing way more than even the S&W's. I came up with one that is in excellent condition......with the exception of this one little part missing! :-) Someone apparently tried to do a "home gunsmithing" job on it. Parts are pretty much non existant but my gunsmith can make the part but he needs at least a picture of it to go by! Just my luck.....all the literally THOUSANDS of schematics available on line....all kind of wierd never heard of 'em guns......and the one I need.............:-) Thx again for the try!

Have you tried calling up Brownells and asking their gunsmiths if they have a diagram they could fax or email to you?
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?
