The San Antonio ones are 30 minutes more than some closer ones, but there's a restaurant in San Antonio I like.

Wonder which would be more likely to have a SAIGA .410 and maybe parts made in USA for them.. I heard some were at the shows in Houston.

I noticed online prices are already jumping from pre-1/26/20011 prices of $349 to today's prices (1-30-2011 four days after the BATF report) of $600 to $700 for "plain" ones. Though there are still some $349-$389 "plain" ones out there, for now.

Well I am definitely going to the one off of Culebra (ish.. kind of?) I'm looking for an officer or a commander 1911. With $800 to spend in pocket, and hopefully walk out with a nice weapon.

I'd RATHER buy used from an individual who hopefully already spent the ammo $ budget on the break-in miles and will be honest about any known reliability issues, I'd get them fixed, but will buy new if I have to and just increase my own break-in ammo budget..

Does it run late on 2/6? It might be worth a drive to San Antonio for something interesting to do Sunday evening.

I like the Saxet show, but the in the past the Texas show has not had as good a mix of gun vendors to other vendors as the Saxet show. My neighbor and I quite attending the Texas show sometime last year because of that.

Yeah, the closest show to me I quit going to, I already have all the 80 year old shotguns, knives, swords, fruitcakes, pecans, and WW2 pistols, antique ammo, hats, T-shirts and posters I need to buy which is .... none. However the last time I went, it was a better mix, I bought a couple guns that time from as new dealer I hadn't seen before, paid a little more, but didn't have to drive to find what I wanted..

I prefer the Saxet as well. Hey, maybe we will all see each other there this weekend. I'm gonna try and get rid of my H&K USP compact .40........ Saving up for that STI itch ive been having.

Is it even possible to find deals at the gun shows anymore? Havent been in a while but plan on going to Saxet on Saturday.

Good question. I haven't been to a show in several months. I was also planning to go to the Saxet to see how the market was looking and see if there were any deals on stuff I am interested in.m Guess we'll find out on Saturday!

Is it legal to carry concealed at the saxet gun show? I've heard a lot of things both ways and am just not sure.

No, you can not carry at the Saxet gun show. There is a HUGE, and I do mean HUGE 30.06 sign as soon as you walk in. If you do happen to bring your pistol, let the cop do the whole zip tie thing to it.
