Found a cool place here in the Woodlands

#1

Post by esxmarkc »

I stopped in Saturday to meet the good folks at The Woodlands Tactical.

http://www.thewoodlandstactical.com/directions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Great, friendly little place with a nice selection of 511 Tactical Gear - Belts/Shirts/Bags/Pants etc., Tucker holster/leather products, Benchmade knives, and just about everything you might want to bolt onto your AR15 including some really high end optics. They also offer CHL and extensive training classes for shotgun, Pistol, AR, etc.

I had them order me a nice Tucker holster but walked out the shop with a 511 Tactical belt, a nice Tucker light Duty belt and a Paracord bracelet. After I got home my daughter made me go back for another Paracord bracelet :cool:

I'm in no way affiliated with these guys but wanted to get the word out that is is a great CHL 2A friendly place so if you are in the Woodlands area certainly give them a visit and I bet you wont leave empty-handed - empty wallet maybe :mrgreen:

ETA: They claim to have their FFL any minute now and will be selling tactical shotguns/AR platforms etc. Great to see a great local place crop up that I'm interested in.

I haven't been there but I have heard the advertize on the Michael Berry show in the afternoons. Good to hear from someone that has been there.

On another note, I went to Spring Guns and Ammo ( http://springgunsandammo.com/index.htm ), another new place in the area, experience was good.

Wow, thats right behind where I work. If you don't mind my asking, how much are they asking for the bracelets??? My son makes them and has sold quite a few. I'll have to check them out this week.

Thanks!! :txflag:

That's awesome timing. I'm going to purchase(or order if they sold it since yesterday) an M&P9c from spring gun & ammo tomorrow, then I'm definately stoping by this tactical store afterwards. Just called on their hours which aren't on the site, 10 - 7. they also mentioned they'll have to fix that. I would almost go tonight, but the traffic right there will suck right now and i suppose it's cheaper to wait :roll: . thanks for informing us it's there.

Yup SGA is another good visit. Good folks, good prices, wonderful clean new range with a backstop that will handle bazooka shells.

I'm a gear junkie with a nice toy budget. It is great to see some good small places like Woodlands Tactical, Spring Guns and Ammo and Shiloh crop up. Hate spending my money at Academy, Gander etc.

Looking forward to them stocking tactical shotguns and accessories for the tactical shotgun. That is going to be one of my next buys.

Shiloh is definately great. I did my chl class last saturday and Louie made that a life altering type of class. I came out with such a different outlook towards concealed weapons carrying, find it hard to beileve there's any better. especially after hearing of other places not being as informative.

Just walked out of the Woodlands Tactical. I caved in for an Answer Holster and a light duty leather gun belt. Nice store and Great guys. I had literally just bought my M&P, so they left me try on the holsters and decide which one I liked. Very helpful. I decided i liked the Answer better than the few Supertucks I'd seen, a lot of that decision was the extra layer of leather molded inside the kydex to help protect the breand new gun i bought. The prices seem resonable, no more expensive than on the Tucker website, but you get hands on. Like I said, great place, definately recommend checking them out.

I had them order me up the same exact holster (except for a Glock 23) for exactly the same reason: that leather lining in the kydex. I bought the same belt too!
