Ways to tell if you are a gun nut

I thought of a couple of ways to tell if you are a gun nut:

1) You don't say the word "shirt" anymore. Instead, you say "concealing garment".

2) If you lose weight, instead of going out and buying slimmer pants, you just start carrying a bigger gun.

Got any more to add?

#3: To celebrate March 29th (100th anniversary of the Arm adopting the M1911) you sell everything Glock that you own... (j/k, I have to give the
Glock owners get hit again since I am no longer one).

How 'bout you re-arrange the bedroom to accomodate the gun safe in a stragecially tactical position so the door can serve as cover to the entrance with the "arsenal at hand"?

You are on your way to the local gun store which is closing in 5 minutes to pick up your new Kimber that came in on order but your car is sputtering because it is also about to run bone dry. There is a gas station coming up on your right. Do you pull in for gas or try to stretch it to the gun store?

You are cleaning your Glock 23 in the sink and the recoil spring slips down the drain but you can see that it's lodged just right and if you reach over and grab your wife's toothbrush you may be able to fish it out. What do you do?

I'm definitely using that toothbrush to retrieve the spring! :thumbs2:

You know you are a gun nut when you declare a household emergency and tell everyone to grab a flashlight because your pivot pin detent went flying off of the lower you are building.

You know you are a gun nut when you start calculating the cost everyday items in boxes of ammo. "Man I would really like to have that (sofa, A/C, new TV) but do you know how many boxes of .40 cal that would buy?"

When everybody in your family is on Facebook every day but you are on gun forums. :thumbs2:
When your "favorites" list on your web browser is overwhelmingly filled with links to sites for guns, ammo, supplies, holsters, etc.
When you are at a large family gathering and the subject of guns comes up. Every single person in the room turns their gaze in your direction

If the only part of a conversation you heard was "I bought it at Bud's", you instantly believe that they bought a firearm from an online store.

You buy a car not based on fuel economy or aesthetics, but how fast you can retrieve your weapon from the console.

Your kids are named "Colt", "Sig", "Glock", and "Kimber".

When you pick out a ring for your wife, you tell the jeweler her finger is "XX" caliber.

You know more about the Texas legislative process than you ever thought you would.

That little tiny spring in your 9mm Beretta flies across the room while breaking the weapon down... so you go out and buy a new Glock 40 cal.

When the two closest gun shops are saved contacts in your phone, they know you by first name and they call to check on you if you have not been in there in a week.

When ammo is on sale, you buy it... Even when you don't own a gun in that caliber.
