Preston Tactical

Just wondering if anyone has had a class with him? I called the other day but he seemed busy. I am planning on taking a CSAT course next year but want to get the basics down first.

looked over the preston tactical site...
seems like it might be worth a try.
at this rate any reputable trainer with good credentials is a go,
I like to see who the trainer has been trained by and background also.

thanks.

His price is good enough to have me interested, just hope it's not one of those you get what you pay for deals.

James is legit. I've not taken a firearms class from him, but I've had his gunshot trauma class. He's an all-around good guy, good instructor, and very personable.

I have shot with him a couple of times at our IDPA practice matches, and he's darn good. I'd want him on my side of the fight if it hit the fan.

He's also a good storyteller, which IME really makes for a better class, and a better instructor. You won't go wrong.

Hope you don't mind me bumping an old thread. I have had three days of training with James -- Tactical Handgun I on two occasions and Tactical Shotgun once. Next Sunday, July 29, I am taking Tactical Handgun II. He is a superb instructor and his prices are very reasonable. his qualifications are extensive as you can see from his website http://www.prestontactical.com/t-instructors.aspx. Very highly recommended.
