Sig is releasing a P938, which is almost the exact same size as the P238, except this will be 9mm. Supposedly a direct competitor to the Kimber Solo.

I have dry fired the Sig P238 and loved the single action trigger. I like its trigger better than any of the other mouse gun triggers I've tried. However, being a conservative with a 1911 .45 EDC, I could not get past the .380 ACP cartridge and never bought one.

However, this P938 looks interesting for a backup gun. I like the 9mm a lot more than I do the .380 ACP.

Here are some pictures taken at the show today:

I just don't think that 800+ is worth a 6 shot 9mm pistol. Ammo is cheap for the 9mm, but for that price I would invest in something that had at least a bit more ammo capacity. I think the .380 is meant to be a BUG caliber and meant to be used in small pistols. I think you can invest in something nicer in a 9mm platform, or heck even a 9mm 1911 compact/sub compact.

Don't get me wrong. I still want to shoot it. If I have the money, heck I'd buy it. Maybe I'll just wait til one of you gets it and bother you to lemme take it to the range everyday :evil2:

I like it!!! I want to stay with the same platform for my "system" and would like to have a small medium and large gun in my carry rotation. Since I already have the P238 as my small pistol, this may work as my medium. I am excited to shoot it.

I prefer a grip safety when going cocked and locked. Thumb safeties can get switched off especially with an ambi. Other than that it looks great.

Wow!! Love my P238 and would love it even more in 9mm. I HATE you Sig - how could you do this to me? We almost saved up enough money to buy the baby some fresh diapers "rlol" .
