Soft Pistol Case

Does this pistol case scream gun?
Or it is only because I am a "gun person"?
Does anyone have suggestions for a softcase that doesn't look like a gun rug?
I am looking for something for a small revolver.

Yes. Yes it does. GUN!
Check out day planner type conceal holsters. They look just like any other rectangular day planner.

Yes, WildBill, that is a GunRug, and screams gun out loud to most folks. I have seen a few cases that look more like nylon folios with web handles that are a little less recognizable as gun cases, such as the one at this link, [url]

A plain day planner with some sort of retention inside for the gun would be far more discrete.

I don't want it too thick so a day planner + gun isn't going to work for me.
Plus a gun rug at Academy is only about $5.

The ones I've seen aren't much thicker than the soft case I have like the one you pictured.

Where will you be taking a gun that you need it concealed but not carried on your person?
Knowing the purpose behind the need might help us think of an idea or two that might work for ya.

Just to store it in something that doesn't look like it has a gun in it. For example if I store it in the truck if I go to a no-carry location.

Gotcha. Seems that most thieves dig thought most everything if they break into a car, so a lockbox cabled to the seat might be a better option than hiding it.
But, a thought if you do want to just hide it: Collect some empty bags/cups from whataburger, subway, other fast food joints, some newspaper and other junk and throw it in the floorboards behind the passenger seat. Hide that case underneath the trash. I doubt they'd want to dig through some trash, but you can be sure they'll look in the glove box/console.

This is how it all got started. I was looking at pistol cases the other day while at Academy. I got to talking to a fellow customer about the lack of choices. He suggested a Crown Royal sack, but I told him that if it got wet my gun would turn purple.

Hiding it in the trash sounds like a plan. I do this sometimes in my center console. it I don't put it inside the locking portion. I thought it was something WildBill wanted to carry around.

So you have seen my car?
I wasn't so much thinking about thieves, but if one of my friends [or co-worker] saw me putting something in the truck or taking something out, it wouldn't obviously be a gun.
Galco make a nice leather "defense planner", but I had not wanted to spend $94.05. They also make a nicer and more expensive [$199.95] faux alligator "hidden agenda". Uncle Mike has a "Day Planner" for $16.97, but the reviews say it looks "cheap". I guess I need to make a roadtrip to Target.

Just send the DS-II back to me and you won't have to buy any of this stuff!

You're the one who started it all, giving me a camo pistol case! I finally decided to get something less conspicuous.
