Hey, I'm just happy they didn't call them assault rifles. Of course they might be doing that on the audio, I can't turn it up here.

Story updated....
Initial reports of "military-style weapons" turned out to be false. Police said the weapons turned out to be ordinary rifles.

Even if they were military style rifles, what law was being broken that gave them the right to enter the vehicle to do anything?

Maybe the original article's been updated...
Seems the fool left his rifle cases on the ground next to his open car door and went to sleep inside his business.

Smells fishy... evidence inconclusive at this time..
also was in possession of at least one suspicious government ID.
............
So far, they say all of the weapons found in his truck are legal civilian weapons, not military-style guns as first reported.

I heard on the radio earlier that the guy was supposed to be on a government watch list and they found forged government documents in the vehicle.. At least thats what they say. Sounds like they may be fishing for probable cause since they broke into the guys SUV. But then thats the consperisay theroist in me.

Huh. Nothing illegal going on except for the fake ID. Normally I would say that'll get thrown out becauae there was no ptobable cause, but who knows these days.

They didn't need probable cause for the rifles. They were sitting on the ground outside of the vehicle. The article doesn't say where the ID was found. The individual might have produced that ID when asked for identification.

Police didn't comment if he's a citizen or not.
However, they did not confirm whether he was a U.S. citizen.
Fake ID?
He'll still get to vote right?

They also said they were removed from the vehicle. Before that, they said it was full of military style weapons. They can't get their story straight.
