Re: Had to stop shooting for a while...
Glad to hear it turned out to be something that was relatively easy to remedy. Back issues / pain are nothing to be taken lightly. The training regimen must continue if at all possible....

Re: Had to stop shooting for a while...
Very happy to hear that you are on the mend! My wife suffered a sever SI injury in 2005, the consequent degradation of the joint allows it to "slip" out of place regularly. When it slips the pain in debilitating, and requires the slow manipulation of the joint, alternating manual traction of the legs, to reestablish it in the correct position. While I love the time I spend with her, marking a baseline on her back with a sharpie, pulling on her legs and measuring the distance to her heels, while she's crying is an experience we could both do without.
I'm going to investigate this as a possible alternative to our current routine, Thank You for posting the info Andy!

Andy, Glad you're doing better. I get a hitch in my "gitta long" every once in a while and you're therapy device looks very interesting. I have had spells that last a couple of months at a time and it's a bummer for sure. I'd love to find something that would work other than time and limited movement. BTW have you shot the CD w/ the Briley tubes yet?
Dadtothebone, I hope your wife improves.

That's great news! I'm a big believer in inversion therapy.
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Inversion therapy can be great--but WARNIING!!!! Don't try to raise yourself back up by just using your stomach muscles(inverted crunch)----hubby managed to "bust a gut" doing it and ended up with an abdominal hernia! Use the sides & pull yourself back up!

Thank you for your service, Andy!
And for your kind encouragement and information you provide here on this board.
I'm glad you are finding some pain relief.
My pain is in my neck - I played adult recreational league ice hockey
as a goalie and got ran into a number of times while I was down covering
the puck.
I think I need to get a neck stretcher - a rope? - Just kidding of course.
Take care!

Good thing we're all armed, 'cause it sounds like we're falling apart!
Ah, the frailties of humanity...
Glad you are feeling better, Andy. Also glad that back pain is the worst that came of that. Sounds like it could have potentially been a lot more serious.
Everyone else, I hope you and yours get to feeling better. I know if I dropped about 40 lbs my knee would complain a lot less.

If I dropped about 40 pounds on my toe, I know my neck would suddenly stop bothering me. :-)

I tried one of those once. Don't use it while armed unless your holster has very good retention
Trust me...
