Just got this through FFL channels:

Re: M&P Shields: Important notice from S&W
I have a Shield arriving at my FFL tomorrow evening. Is he going to keep me from obtaining it? Or is that already too late in the process for the sale to be stopped? UPS has it.

I have had no problems with my Shield. This should be interesting.

Thank you for the heads up, I will keep my ears open on this subject, as I own two of them.

Mine works fine. Well dang it. Wonder how long before we find out what they are concerned about.

Might be why I have not been able to find them this last month.

I have a few hundred through mine and I have not had a single issue.
I also picked up a M&Pc that has a new trigger in it. It is smooth and has a positive reset just like the Shield.

Re: M&P Shields: Important notice from S&W
There was something on another forum about this same notice. The folks over there (don't remember which one it was) seem to think this may have to do with a missing or lose spring on the lower part of the trigger.
Opinions expressed are subject to change without notice.

My wife is working late and carrying a Shield right now. Thanks for the heads up. I will be looking for more information as it becomes available.

I do have two ears , left and right (I think), as well as two shields, .40 and 9mm. I've put about 200 rounds through each, and haven't seen any problems other than the .40 not liking to load some of my Remington ammo.G26ster wrote:Coincidence! Tried doing a google search, just found some things last year where they stopped shipping due to the .40 dropping mags when shooting.

Looking around on 2 M&P specific forums, they talk about if the lower half of your trigger isn't spring operated, then you have the issue.
