I am finding all the 9mm and 38 special ammo I need in the DFW area, but have not been able to locate any 22LR or CCI stinger ammo anywhere. I've been to Grapevine Bass Pro, Arlington Academy, several Arlington and Grand Prairie Walmarts, and Gander Mountain in Mesquite. Where else should I be looking?

Walmart. If you check daily around 7:00 AM, they would have it.

Cabelas often has some, but the most consistent supply I've found has been at the Cheaper than Dirt store in Fort Worth.

Heath & Heath hardware in Jacksonville has Federal Auto Match for $100/325 count box and Remington golds for $75/brick. Makes you wonder how and where they got 'em, yes?

Yep, I have seen it at the ft worth cabelas on several occasions in the past couple weeks.

I received an email from Cabelas that the 22lr I ordered last year is still on BO ....

Im assuming the brand they are selling in store is different than the brand that I ordered in Oct 2012

I received a rain check for a Ruger 10/22 on sale a few years ago. I stopped in their store once a month for well over a year. They always had a few 10/22s in stock for at least $50 more than my rain check price but not the exact model number listed on my rain check. I used to wonder if they changed the stock number on the basic 10/22 so they wouldn't have to honor the low price on those rain checks. Maybe it's something like that if you have a good price on your back order.

Yea, you've got to ask Walmart and other big retailers when they get stock in and when it goes on the shelves. You can get it, but you have to know where to be and when to be there.
Either that or go out of state... :-)

For a while, Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville had .22 LR.

Limited to 2 or 3 of the small boxes (50 rounds), but something to practice with.

Haven't checked in a few months; not sure if this information is still reliable.

The Academy in South Ft Worth off of 35 gets their ammo every M/W/F, and each time I've gone they've had .22. Just bought 2 boxes today at $2.50/box.

They also had an entire wall FULL of 5.56/.223, 9mm, and all other calibers. .22 is the only caliber they are currently having a maximum on, which is 2 a day.

I don't wanna brag, but I just won a karma brick of 22lr on SigForum!!! I'm not saying I don't have any, but what I do have is in a baggie of all things, so you get my point.
