Had fun with my Carpool yesterday

Backseater was bragging on his new MP3 player.

So I piped up "Can't wait to get me an Mp5!"

So the others were like "Oooh. Never heard of those."

I graciously explained that "Well you probably wouldn't like it. Its fairly large, and although you can make it loud or quiet, there are still a lot of restrictions for where you can take it. (one works in the Dallas Federal Building) You know how the bailiff will take your phone before court? Well they go nuts if you bring your Mp5 in. You'll get a lot of unwanted attention."

"Who makes it?"

"A German company. Heckler & Koch. They are all the rage with government entities..."

When I explained WHAT it was... I saw this in the backseat when I looked back:

I laughed for miles....

Classic moment!! Too funny! You could have further explained that some of us like the sound quality of MP5s better than what any .MP3 could produce.

I've used both an mp3 and an mp5 and I have to say that I did enjoy the mp5 considerably more...

I'll have to try that one! I'm a teacher, and my students would love it. I'll throw in, "Yeh, it fits in my hand better, and it comes in my favorite color, black."

Funny, I too had this same result. And I didn't have to change any batteries in the MP5 after extended use.
