DFW Skeet Shoot—POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER....

I have a new shotgun to try out, and it cannot be properly tested unless there is a group of friends there to give me a thorough ribbing. And the best way to accomplish that is to give me 75 to 100 chances to miss a clay pigeon. I am therefore proposing a meeting of the Shaming Board to convene at Elm Fork Shooting Range for the purpose of causing me an appropriate degree of discomfort on charges of showing off a shotgun he does not deserve. Of course, a quorum is required to pass judgement.
I am looking at my calendar, and as I am self employed I can be available for this pretty much any days except Sunday and Monday. I have my granddaughter's first b'day party at 1 pm on Memorial Day, and a 10 a.m. meeting with a lawyer on Friday the 29th, but other than that, I am generally available.
Gentlemen, and ladies who might be interested, can we arrive at a consensus for a date and time to convene?
Discuss.
Edited to add poll.....

I'm up for it pretty much any time. The problem is going to be the weather. As C-Dub mentioned in another thread, they're calling for rain for the next 9 days.
Of course, that could change tomorrow.

I'm kind of new to clays. I went and shot the Chris Kyle sporting clays benefit a couple of weeks ago. First time for that. 70/100. Only done skeet and trap a couple of times. After the sporting clays I was hooked and just got my new O/U. I might be in if the day and time works out.

I am down on this one. As long as it is on Sat/Sunday or Memorial Monday. I am back to full time work.
You've got another volunteer who is trying to graduate from the shaming club
BTW, Saturday is my range day.

I'm in.
At this time, we do not have my daughter's softball tournament and playoff schedules yet, so I may have to miss depending on what happens with either of those.

Well, it looks like a Saturday would work best then, so I added a poll at the top of the thread. I'm up for any of them, but let's see which one works best for people with more restricted schedules.

I went ahead and voted for 5/16 because (right now) it looks like the rain won't start until the afternoon.
If we don't shoot skeet tomorrow morning, I'm heading to GPSR to do ammo testing with my rifle. I'm shooting either way!

I voted for the 30th. If the weather holds for tomorrow, I will either be at softball games or an IDPA match with my daughter tomorrow. And i'm already going to help another friend with a trap shoot at our club on the 23rd.

I remember that back in 2007 it didn't stop raining until some time in August. I also remember shooting skeet with you guys at Elm Fork when it was about 32° outside with rain showers and about a 30mph crosswind, so...... At least this time it will be warm.
My main concern is whether or not your gun barrel becomes a lightning rod when you mount the gun. The results could be interesting.....albeit more interesting for the observers than the shooter, who might not remember anything.....
But I can wait until the 30th or later. The longer we wait to do this, the easier it will be for me to sneak in some practice before I go before the Shaming Board.

That's okay. I'm expecting a healthy dose of shaming when either you or Pawpaw or Beiruty get me out to 200 yards or more with a rifle. I'm sure my time will come.
Actually, every time I hit the five-stand matches at my club it public shaming time. But, it sure is a lot of fun with those guys.

I would like to make it out as well but tomorrow I am shooting skeet at Arlington Sportsman Club weather permitting.

TAM, since I will be there you have absolutely nothing to worry about in the shaming category. Unless Andy's magic takes hold....
