The title sounds strange but here's what I'm getting at...
My former home was in the city (Lewisville) - see a snake, decide to shoot the snake and you could end up in jail
My new home is in a rural area but in the same County - see a snake, shoot a snake, and go back to what you were doing. Chances are nothing will become of it.
I guess this applies to the legality of fireworks, too?
What is the difference as it applies to the law?

Most local ordinances are class C misdemeanors and result in a citation. It is possible to arrest for a class C misdemeanor, but that is usually done only if the person is a danger to himself or others (such as public intoxication).ntex wrote:My former home was in the city (Lewisville) - see a snake, decide to shoot the snake and you could end up in jail
You have to check county ordinances about this kind of thing if you live outside a city.

I'm also in Denton County. Live in the "little" town due west of you, but range property was very intentionally bought in "unincorporated area" with far fewer restrictions. Last year, due to the drought, County Commish. Court implemented temporary county-wide "burn ban" and fireworks restrictions this time of year.
Yep, if in anyone's city limits, their ordinances can get ya, whether on guns of various types, bows and arrows or firecrackers ...
