I took my class last weekend and noticed my instructor said he carries open most of the time. He made a card carrier to hang around his neck. It holds his drivers lic., chl lic. and auto ins. card. How do you carry your chl lic. on your person?

I carry my D/L, LTCs from several states and other licenses and cards in my genuine imitation leather burnt orange alumni card case.

In wallet next to DL, on opposite side of my CC, so when I raise my shirt to reach my wallet, I do not expose my CC.

Shirt pocket in a card case with my DL and military ID. Don't want to be reaching for a back pocket wallet which could also be reaching for my handgun. Also awkward when seated in a car to reach the DL if it is in a back pocket wallet

My license is still the old Concealed Handgun License. I follow the clearly written instructions on it. It's a concealed license. I can't open carry my license until I get a new one.
I never get to have any fun.

Mine comes out of the end of my gun barrel attached to a red flag that says,"Bang!"

Stormvet, welcome the forum! Glad to have you with us.
Despite what these other clowns have said there really is a lot of good info to be found here.
Don't let them get to you. It's just a couple of years ago, someone brought up the subject of a (then) CHL badge. It became a running joke to get a CHL badge, sash, tiara, etc. The general consensus was it is a silly idea....and still is. No one needs to know you have a LTC/CHL, unless you want to tell them.
Most of us try our best to fly under the radar in that respect. I know I do. I carry mine in my wallet, under my D.L.
Lighten up you guys. He's a new member and asking a valid question.
And no, don't ask him to go on a snipe hunt with you.
All in good fun Stormvet...no disrespect intended.

Sir, point taken.
Stormvet, Welcome to the forum. There are many smart people here willing to help others. This is a very good forum
I also carry mine under my drivers license w/reg & insurance info. Front pocket, easy to reach if needed. Badge, no.

I have some very fond memories of my 'snipe hunts'.
At least what I can remember of them.
