Andy, for what it's worth here is what GunTests.com said.

Initially, Sig’s P938 pleased us immensely, but as testing proceeded, we found it had tons of problems.

They flunked it. March 2013 issue. I have no personal experience with it.

Mine has been stellar, but I tend to get better results with guns than most people (The exception being a Gen4 Glock 19). I have around 1500 rounds through mine and primarily shoot it just to remain competent with it as a daily carry in the BUG slot.

Bought one a couple of years ago for my wife. Don't have as many rounds through it as some of my others but gave had no issues. Bought it to replace a Ruger LCP (that I did not like). Things I liked:
- small enough to carry in my pocket (in a pocket holster) on days when wearing shorts
- 9mm instead of .380
- good sights for small pistol
- mag small enough to carry an extra
- wife has arthritis in her hands and hard to rack most. She has no trouble with the Sig

One negative is the price. Can almost buy two M&P Shields for the price of one 938.

Andy,

I have a P938 and absolutely love it. If you'd like, we can coordinate a time to go to a range so you can try mine out.

Me three although lately it's become my BUG because I'm trying out other options just to see what I like and don't like. The holster I have for it does not allow me to carry appendix, which is what I'm finding myself drawn towards right now.

My ONLY complaint is that when you load the magazine, you can't chamber a round then drop the magazine easily. It constantly gets hung up and rips the next round out before releasing the mag. I've resorted to loading 1 round, inserting the mag, chambering the 1 round then ejecting the now empty mag to continue loading. Honestly, if that won't bother you, it's a solid little gun.

Recoil is snappier because of the size and it's got a little weight to it but I always carry it with me, even if it's in my bag while I body carry my xds-45 or G26. If you purchase it, absolutely spend the extra money to get a 7 round magazine or two with the pinky extension. That absolutely makes the gun even better to handle.

Shoots great, feels great. I don't think I would ever consider getting rid of mine.

I have one now about 2+ years and consider it a great EDC. Easy to carry, accurate, and well made. BUT
It went back to SIG when the trigger/sear mechanism failed and jammed. Took SIG 4 days to fix and return it and it has run
fine since. I have about 500+ rounds thru it now with 0 failures. I am also a bit unhappy about the price of the mags... even on sale they are high. Good luck in your choice

Put me in the love camp. So accurate for a gun this size. The quality is, in my experience, above any other pocketable 9 I have ever encountered. I just received a recluse solo TS for it to get ready for campus carry. Todd at recluse selected a thinner cut of good horse hide to keep the bulk down and it makes a great front pocket rig that prints like a wallet so as to not offend and college age sensibilities, students or professors.

I have the P938 BRG. It was bought for my wife as an EDC but it was a bit snappy for her liking so I inherited it  . After putting 400 rounds through it without a hiccup, it rolled into my carry line up. Now it has become my daily BUG. Mine has never had an issue except biting my wife.

As a side note, i get a lot of my guns by buying them for her, she doesn't like it so it rolls into my collection. . However, I think she has caught on because she came in with a purple pistol last week and said "see what I got for you". When I said thanks for the thought but no thanks, it went to her safe. We may be in trouble now :smilelol5:

Add me to the "love it" crowd. It's the best shooting pocket pistol I have ever fired. Mine is my "don't feel like carrying full size today" gun, and my stays in the car gun.

Absolutely love mine as well. Fun little shooter once you adjust to the size. The wide grip makes it handle easily, feels solid and the nightsights are top notch.
