Well...I caught the bug!

I was a fanatic about my Heckler & Koch USP .45...
And carried it for about a year.
Until I got my first 1911 through less than happy circumstances. My Grandfather willed it to me.
I have the holster, and a couple 8 rd KimPro mags for it for range use only. It was, according to the serial number, made in 1919, and I would like to think that carrying it would be like having my Grandfather looking over me, but it simply means too much to give it the wear carrying involves. Although I do shoot it from time to time. The feel and accuracy made me interested in the 1911 pistol, so I started looking. I finally decided on the Kimber Tactical Ultra II as a carry replacement for the large H&K.
And Yes! I caught the bug! I still love my H&K, but to carry the Kimber. OMG! It is soooooo much easier to conceal, and soooooo much lighter to carry! Yes, it has only 8 rds versus the 13 rds of the H&K, but that just means carry 2 spare magazines. Besides, with less than 600 rds I do what I consider to be rather well with it.
If you had asked me a year ago of I would like to buy a 1911, I would have said "No Thanks". Now my response would be "If only I could afford another one".
Are there any other "Converts" here? And what is you conversion story?
