Suspenders

Mr. Longtooth, my thanks to you!

I saw a post you made some time ago recommending using suspenders, so today bought a pair.

I use a CTAC and finally got it fairly comfortably situated @ about 4:00; however, even before I started carrying, my pants kept slipping down -- not enough meat on my hips or butt.

Saw a pair of 2" wide black work suspenders at Gander Mt. and decided to give them a try, since I usually wear a t-shirt and a Hawiian overshirt untucked.

They are THE answer (er ... solution):!: :!:

As an electrician, I used suspenders to keep my tool pouch on me, big gut, small butt, seems fairly common;D.
Finally gave up on a belt, irritates a waist area burn scar quite a bit, I carry in pocket, so the suspenders are really the thing.

I understand completely. When folks ask me why I wear a belt & suspenders I tell them,
"When you are built like a Coke Bottle the belt is for decoration. The suspenders do the work." ;-)

A good place to look for suspenders is Lowe's. They have them in black, 2 inches wide.

Also, I love tool bags for storing ammo and accessories. They have all sorts of little pockets on the inside for earplugs, extra mags, etc. Great for taking to the range and come in all sizes.

Another good company that makes suspenders is Perry's. http://www.perrysuspenders.com (I think) They hook to your belt and provide extra stabiity. I have 5 pair, from dress to casual wear.

Kewl !! Thanks for the liink.

They look like a good idea and the prices seem reasonable.

It appears the belt connections are "clips" that snap around the belt, with a flexible tab that lies behind the belt and the other part, that look like loops, on the front of the belt, correct?
