Built on same chassis as the PC Carbine Tactical model.

No dear, I don't "need" another firearm, but....

The Charger has long been the designation for Ruger’s 10/22 pistol variants, but the PC Charger Pistol, based on Ruger’s PC Carbine Chassis model, is chambered in 9mm. The PC Charger uses the same chassis as the newer tactical model PC Carbine with a Picatinny rail in the rear to accept MCX style stocks or, in this case, braces.

Me too! Like I'll end up with spare funds after COVID-19 beats up our economy. :???: But Travis's review looks pretty impressive, and the little gun looks very interesting. I'm not a big Keltech fan, so never even considered a Sub2000. But this Ruger looks like it's really, really well designed. And comes out of the box with the Glock magazine option. I saw a lot of the comments on the review were wanting it .45 or 10mm...which would be grand but if I want more punch out of something nearly this size I think I'll stick with an SBR or AR pistol. And I have some 33-rnd Glock 9mm mags sitting around. Range fun, easy to pack in a small bag, and a few 33-rnd 9mm sticks out of a 6.5" barrel would still leave a mark if you needed it as an SD gun.

But I wish Grayling813 hadn't told us about it. 'Cause now I'm gonna keep looking for reviews and checking prices.

American Rifleman review of the PC Charger

Yes, it’s a takedown, and, yes, the 6.5” Charger barrel will fit on a PCC–but don’t do it unless you have ATF approval to create an NFA-regulated short-barreled rifle.
So that means a PC Carbine barrel will fit on the PCCharger, creating a pistol with 16” barrel.

Yes indeed it will. Saw a YouTube video of someone doing just that.

That would allow you to then affix a folding stock and have a pistol grip. A nice improvement over the original PCC IMO.

Why not just get this if you want a rifle with a pistol grip. I see that it’s new as well https://ruger.com/products/pcCarbine/sp ... 19122.html

Well, yep, that'll do it. I didn't even realize they had released that.

Of course being able to switch between rifle and pistol with a couple of changes is nice but this is certainly cheaper.

Edit: I did notice though that this doesn't offer a folding stock.

My reasoning is because I already own the PC Carbine in the original model.

Definitely lucky, happened to go to Shoot Point Blank’s website on Friday three weeks ago. It showed there was one available in Arlington so I bought it and went to pick it up an hour later.

SPB in NRH is where I bought my PC Carbine.
