According to police reports, a 16-year-old boy shot his father twice in the head, then shot himself when police arrived. Neither is expected to survive. The boy's mother witnessed the event, which took place Sunday in an unincorporated area near Kemah.

Murder-suicides are becoming more common these days. There have been several here in the DFW area over the last few months. However, this one is the first I have heard of where a minor committed the act.
