The red line indicates his walking path from left to right in the drawing, and the green stuff is just grass. With a walking vector directly at the drivers side door and the pace of his walk, yea it was suspicious. Yes he did change his walking path to the side walk pretty close to the car. Sorry for any racial comments

OK, is it possible that the sidewalk was damaged, or blocked off where he was walking? Maybe it he knew the route and it was easier to detour through the parking lot since there were no cars there? Just thinking out loud here.

btw, there is no such thing as "race" when talking about humans, but rather people groups. We are ALL of one blood. The differences are the amount melanin in the skin and other things.

It is safe to say from the OP's position that he was not using the word "Mexican" in a pejoritive sense, but trying to give more of a descriptive term for the person he saw. I think if I said I saw a black man, NO ONE would assume that I was talking about someone that is coal black, but rather some darker skin tone that matches the features of features of that people group.

The OP was not using the word as degrading, but more descriptive. Yes, I know "mexicans" that are blonde haired and blue eyed, but it is safe to say that when the OP refered to the person as "a mexican.
