Well, response to a few statements I'll start out saying we were not tail gating. I personally hate when people tail gate me so I do not ever tail gate someone. We did not pass them aggressively either. Had we have done something aggressive toward them I would not have posted this. My impression of how this situation took place is that it was just some little thug wanting to start something.

Secondly, the whole "discussion" me and my brother had on whether to exit off or stay on the road took about 5 seconds. It was basically a simultaneous combination of "should we get off or stay on while I’m grabbing my pistol"

Also, like I said in the post I did not want to exit off for the fact of the possibility of being boxed in somewhere. We stayed back a safe distance from him, and it was just crappy luck that we ended up behind him at the traffic jam because the car in between us and the other car switched lanes.

When you are presented a situation that involves a gun being drawn on you it isn’t like you have 20 minutes to decide what to do and how to react to the situation. I stayed on my toes and controlled the situation to the best of my ability and ultimately no shots were fired.

Please don't be offended by our second-guessing. We weren't there, and you were. But you gotta admit, speculation is fun.

you did the right thing, there are too many arm chair quarterbacks on here who give advise on how not to get involved, take the next exit etc.....even though you were threatened. you did it by the book period

but is that not why we are all CHL'd so we can protect ourselves and loved ones. as he stated no cops for 25 minutes...

I can't tell how many times I've called in a drunk going through areas between Dallas and Ft. Worth, along 20, 30, and 183. By the time you get the operator to understand where you are, heading, etc..., you are going into the next city and they have to transfer you, rinse, repeat.

From my own apartment I have to be transferred from the next city over back to mine.

Thanks for using paragraphs. Paragraphs make writing so much easier to read.
