Is it possible the customer loaded a round? I don't pretend to know your weapons storage procedures but I know I've got a few NIB weapons and when I put them in their cases, I make sure they're unloaded before storage. I know accidents happen, but you don't seem to be Joe the negligent firearm handler. Good luck with your investigation... Glad nobody was injured or worse........There's no substitute for safe handling practices.

Nope. The customer picked it up and just squeezed the trigger. He had never owned a firearm before. And the employee was not me, to be sure.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Still glad everyone is ok. Otherwise I wouldn't be joking around. ;-)

I know "someone" who put a 9mm round into the wall of "his" apartment's bedroom while foolin around with "his" HK P7 after a beer or two. It has been over 20 years, but "he" still thinks about it frequently. "I" make sure to remind "him" regularly...
