Detroit -- A carjacker was shot and killed by his intended victim.
The Detroit area has experienced a rash of carjackings, several resulting in the death of the victim.

The article also mentions a couple of other recent cases where LAC's properly sent BG's on to their eternal rewards. Nice statement by the sheriff near the end where he says that he "rarely" sees abuse of the concealed carry laws.

And now there are 20,30 or even hundreds of the BG's acquantances that will think twice about victimizing someone.

The more publicity this story - and others like it - gets, the less excited the bad guys will be about carjacking in that city.

Did you notice the comments to the story? Take "also_sprach_kos_mos" comments for instance, how ignorant are people to make such claims before they have all the facts?

I think it is a pretty telling detail that the carjacking was taking place in front of the Detroit PD headquarters.
Just goes to show you that even in front of police HQ, crime can and will strike, and nobody will be there to defend you.
