This was posted in another forum. The poster was decrying the feeling of the anti's that civilians don't need firearms because the police will be there to save us. He used this photo as proof that that may not be the best idea.

If he was concerned about her elbow height, he shouldn't be. People of slight build can raise that elbow and it makes a better "pocket" between the shoulder socket and clavicle. 40 years ago that "level elbow" was taught to shooters.
I wouldn't stand in front of her and laugh, she has total control of the weapon and the recoil.

Don't magazines on the AR platform typically curve forward?

Ding, ding, ding.

There is some debate that this image is photoshopped, but this guy did a demonstration on youtube showing that it is possible.

This was discussed a long time ago, here, and was debated about the validity, as well.
good times. and in a minute, we'll get all the misogynist comments going and this'll turn into OC, the 9th.

nice pic, though. the other thread had this tiny little linked pic, was hard to see. all black and white...

You are such a pessimist.

Pretty funny stuff. Ammo can half full, so to speak.

Being a non AR owner, even IF the mag would go in, it wouldn't fire would it? That leads me to think the picture has been altered, OR the guy in the video is correct. She slapped in a mag (incorrectly) and posed for the picture. The last choice is adrenaline took over, and she incorrectly put in the mag, and now her colleagues are giving her all kinds of ribbing because she got her picture on the front page!

A friend of mine said that that happened to his buddies in basic in the marines when the SGT would start screaming. Guys would get nervous and try to slap it in and wedge it in backwards. If you try to go for the mini-14 style "one in end first then lift" mag insert it will go in partway and jam.

More than likely she has not shot that rifle except to qualify.
