Oldsmar, Florida (Tampa area), Sept. 7-- A man was kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity. He was in the back seat of a vehicle with one of two armed kidnappers. The kidnapper put down his weapon to send a text message. The erstwhile victim picked up the weapon and stopped the kidnapping. One kidnapper survived and is charged with the murder of his accomplice.

Lends more truth to the credo: fight as hard as you can, as soon as you can. The moment they would have eventually finally realized that he wasn't the guy they were after, he would have zero value to them, and would be a major detriment as as witness against them.

Very true, Kevin. I don't know what percentage of kidnap victims survive uninjured, but I would bet it's around the same as the number of Lotto players who win money.
