This is great, although i wouldnt advise anyone tackling a bank robber.
Your wife losing a husband isnt worth it,
Your kids losing a dad isnt worth it,
Your life isnt worth it.

One for the good guys!!!
Watch the woman in the blue shirt clapping after he gets tackled and then go over and give him a kick, while he's down. This guy is lucky the man that tackled him wasn't carrying. He could have been shot dead where he stood.

I bet the tackler was only in the bank for the free popcorn.

There was a bank robbery (actually a robbery of an armored truck crew puttng money in an ATM - but it was right at a Chase bank branch office on Ft. Worth Avenue west of Hampton in Dallas) not far from where I live yesterday morning. In it, one of the guards was killed. A witness followed the getaway car and tried to read the license plate but was unable to do so because it was upside down and only got a partial. I had a plate for a trailer that I haven't installed yet. So I placed it upside down over the license plate of my wife's car and then led her out to look at it. I instructed her to read it as fast as she could when I turned her around. She read it almost instantly.
If you see a car with upside down plates, you may want to take special notice.

This was all over the news yesterday. Most armored car drivers I've seen always seem way too relaxed when outside the truck. Especially when they are refilling ATM's.

He did what he thought was the right thing to do.
Can't advise against that.
If he didn't think it was the right thing to do, then I'm sure he wouldn't have done it.
Risky? Yeah.
Right? Also.

It sure took a long time to get some help from the other people there; especially the guy behind the counter.

Fortunately, I too reacted instantly when we had a couple of fires while on the flight deck. I would attribute that to the training and survival instincts. While a carrier is a big boat and one can get pretty far away from a fire you can still only go so far. I think we hear the same thing from many police that react quickly in stressful situations. Their training takes over and they just act. We deal with the stress later. Without this type of training, I only hope I will react the same way to a threat in the future.

What I found amusing in the bank robbery video was that the man who acted
was kind of a ways from the robber. But when he approached the robber for the
tackle, the good guy jumped over the ropes for the waiting line! And he still got the
drop on Mr. Bankrobber.
