After I quit doing roofing sales in a lot of vermin infested neighborhoods, I backed off of my normal carry routine of a minimum 9mm or .40cal with 20+ rounds and dropped a 380 in my pocket. After a rash of thefts, robberies, and shootings in the nearby neighborhoods with PD taking almost 2 hours to respond to an assault at a gas station I frequently fill up at (was there 24 hours earlier it was mid-afternoon). I am back to carrying a compact 9 and a sub compact 9mm with two spare mags for it in an IPhone case for backup.
In my current job I am often the only one in homes ranging from sub $100k-$800k neighborhoods doing real estate inspections.
I love the PD but they are stretched waayy too thin. Especially when there are too many Section 8 complexes near my fillup locations, as well as the bad eggs are way too mobile anymore to be avoidable.
