I was Taught keep your finger off the trigger and outside of the triggerguard unless you actually intend to send a bullet down range, I was taught this when I was 4yo. !

Let’s just say they call themselves the “Not Fooling Around Coalition”...yet they DEFINITELY were FOOLING around when it came to the safe handling of firearms...you should see the pics of these folks...loaded for bear...then...”BANG”...3 down...oooooops....fooling around again...maybe they need to follow their “Coalition” name a tad better?
