For all that & new, I dont think it a bad deal. You will have everything you need for a WHILE. That much corn cob will last a long time w/ proper care.

My .02cents & some think it worth about half that.

$108 to the door sounds pricey to me.

you can probably find a sifter at a dollar store that would work...and a 5 gallon bucket, well, those are pretty cheap too.

I've heard more bad than good about those Harbor Freight ones.

Agree w/ tfrazer on the Harbor Freight one & I use their tools & calipers.

The Cabellas kit is out of stock so available today is something.
I agree that 19.00 for shipping is a little steep but there is the bucket. separator, & corncob media there.

The country boy here made all that but some dont have that option.

The hornady is only the vibrator for 64.00. Still need the separator & media for cleaning. After shipping for the tumbler & then the other, I think it will all cost about the same.

What do yall think.

My tumbler is the generic equivalent of the Cabela's model. I've had it now for about 15 years and it still works fine. The thing I don't like about it is it has no switch and you have to plug/unplug it to turn it on/off. Not enough of a problem to force me to install an inline switch though.

As to separator, I don't use one. I simply remove the top of the hopper and pick out the brass as it rotates to the top. Then I let the mouth of the case rest on the side of the hopper (while still running), and it shakes all of the media out of the case. This is not a big problem with straight walled pistol cases but with rifle cases, it can sometimes be a chore to get all the media out past the small case neck. If you don't use the strainer/sorter/separator, you don't need the 5 gallon bucket either.

I went mid-price and passed on the nice to haves. Bought mine at a gunshow and have yet to regret the purchase.

* Did you check for tumblers with Berry's Mfg?

* Go to the Dollar Store and get a plastic collander; use your Dremel or something to widen the cracks and, "Bob's your uncle"!

I bought the Cabela's brand for $59 In March. It included seperator bowl, polish, and a decent size bag of media. I am happy with it.
