I am deploying shortly and I am putting most of my things in storage while I'm gone. My question is how do I keep my Reloader/parts from rusting? I have a heavy duty vacuum sealer and was thinking of lubing it up good and wet and sealing it in a bag, or maybe just a plastic container with a bunch of de-humidifier packets.

Oh and my wife is taking my guns to Texas with her so they wont be an issue.

ANy corrosion inhibitor will work fine. With the vacuum process, I'd recommend something that dried a bit so the liquid doesn't get sucked into the sealing end and cause the bag to not seal properly. LPS-3, Corrosion-X, etc. would be my first choices.

In all honestly, clean and lube them plus the vac seal is going to do well. A small dessicant pack is a nice bonus. Thus far I have never had a rust spot start in my safe with it's dessicant packs and I'm on Padre Island (7 years now)...salt air, high humidity, etc.

The vapor phase inhibitors work well in a sealed bag too...but that's a little more exotic. Since you're deploying, I'm assuming you're expecting to be storing them for what, 9-15 months? Pretty much anything from clean&lube on up will work for that long so long as they are kept in a decently secure and clean environment.

Or, just go to Your local grocery store, and get a thing of 4 pounds of 100% Silica Cat Litter for $5

Exact same thing as is in the desiccant packets.

I just filled 2 old socks with it, and threw them in my safe.

I bought the Remington Model 365 Mini-Dehumidifier for my Gun Vault. Set it in the safe until the color changes from Blue to Pink. Take it out and plug it into a wall-socket until it is Blue again.
Repeat for up to ten years. Cost me about $25.00.
